Language Building Series
An Interactive Reading Experience
These books are for parents and educators who are ready to take story time to the next level and support their child's language development. Written by Courtney Goodman, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, each book includes notes for parents and educators on every page to help engage their child and encourage them to be an active participant in story time.

Through the use of questions based on the verbal behavior milestones assessment and placement program (VB-MAPP - an assessment designed to help children develop their verbal skills), these books allow educators and caregivers to work on language development while enjoying quality time reading with their child.

"An innovative and heartwarming addition to the world of parenting and child development books. What sets this book apart is the inclusion of fun and developmentally appropriate questions for parents to ask children, which are based on a skills assessment measuring developmental milestones. It fosters meaningful interactions between parents and children, making the learning process both engaging and fun. The questions are thoughtfully designed to stimulate language and cognitive development, making this book a powerful tool for parents who want to ensure their child reaches their full potential.

As a practitioner and advocate, I appreciate the approach this book takes towards improving language and development in a meaningful and intentional way that can lead to measurable improvements."

"A valuable resource for teachers and therapists working with the special needs population. In addition to being a tool within the classroom setting, books like this can easily be incorporated at home, encouraging parents to be a part of the teaching process. The cute illustrations and easy to read scripts allow therapists to quickly identify the student's language level and begin developing a program with ease.
We need more resources like this in the field so we can focus on the most important work- the students!"
